All is good at the moment, all sites performing well on Google.

At the moment we are not making a profit and are putting all of your payments into advertising! More advertising means more work.

Pupils
As we have always said, we cannot guarantee pupils. This is the same for any company.
If its quiet, its quiet. Some areas go quiet whilst others are busy. It swaps around all the time and is to be expected.
Please do not expect 10 pupils a week as you may well be dissapointed.
If you have just joined, we find that it takes a few weeks to kick in and things will normally puck up in weeks 4-8, we need time to get your sites on and to update listings on the above sites. We have no control over this.
In addition, clients need to have seen the site for a few weeks before they book, this is normal and is expected. People are suspicious of new things.
Contacting Pupils
Pupils ring the call centre or e mail in for lessons.
Within 10 mins of someone enquiring about lessons, you will be contacted by phone or text.
Please ensure we can contact you.
it is YOUR responsibility to contact that pupil and book them in. This means call them as soon as you possibly can otherwise you will lose them!!!!
We simply do not have the time to arrange lessons for you, especially as you run your own diary.
Obviously, some pupils are time wasters, so please expect a few to be uncontactable or just a pain in the backside. Thats normal.
We do charge at the higher end of the lesson pricing scale, so we do tend to get better clients. We think it is better to have less calls, but better quality pupils. If you disagree let us know.
If you want the call centre to book pupils into an electronic diary, this can be set up for you for free.
Roofboxes and Magnetics
These things are an ongoing pain! The supplier we have is slow and unreliable and sometimes the items we receive are not up to stabdard and have to go back. This has happened recenlty and items have been returned.
We have changed supplier, so please forgive us for the extended delay for magnetics and signs etc, we are just as frustrated as you are.
Business cards are the same, i must admit i have given out a few hundred over the last few years and never had a sigle call!
Protecting Yourself
Your legal status is that of a contractor. You are not an employee of Bumpers.
If a pupil pays YOU in cash or via cheque then they have a contract with you, not us. Any claims etc will be down to you.
If they pay online, the contract is with Bumpers.
We would strongly recommend that you get them to sign the terms and conditions on the first lesson. They are there to protect you, so use them.
We would also suggest that you get the pupil to sign for each lesson to avoid any arguments about how many lessons they have paid for etc. This is vital, ignore this at your own risk, you have been warned! It will bite you on the bum at some point.
Please read the terms and conditions, they are virtually bomb proof. Trading Standards say they are OK, so we are happy to use them.
You do not have to charge a pupil if they cancel, but you do have the right if you wish to...
We would suggest that you join the DIA, simply because you get legal protection if someone sues you. It has yet to happen but it will..
What we expect from you.
Please do tell us if you are going away on holiday, as nothing is more annoying than paying for advertising and then finding out you have gone away...
Please pay on time, if you are having problems please let us know.
FEEDBACK FORMS : Please get any pupils that have passed to fill in the Feedback Form on the front page of the websites. This helps massivley to attract new pupils. It is VITAL!!, and for your own good.
Online Payments:
Pupils can pay online using Paypal, Google Checkout or RBS
All charge about 3.5% of the amount paid. So if they pay £210, you will get about £203 in your account. These fees are charged by the card processors not us.
You can expect to receive your money about 4-5 days after payment if paid via Paypal or Google Checkout, or after 10 days via RBS.
RBS is a MUCH MICH better system as it checks for credit card fraud and prevents 'chargebacks' by clients, sometimes 6 months after payment.
A chargeback is where the customer disputes a payment with PayPal, whilst it is under investigation, Paypal will simply reverse charge your credit card or bank account. Paypal and Google are awful to deal with!!!!! So unless you need the money urgently, use RBS.
Disputes with Paypal take weeks and weeks on end to resolve and they will lock accounts without warning..
Payments taken over the phone via us will be processed via RBS!
The Future.
By december 2010, we will be ORDIT registered
By July 2010, we will have forms, terms and conditions available for download from this site.
By July 2010, we will be doing ADI training in a couple of areas in the country. Current suggestions are Southampton, Portsmouth and Huddersfield.
We also want to offer Taxi Tests, D1, B&E, BTEC etc. Anything to move away from the 10 lessons for £5 end of the market which seems to be prevailing at the moment. We will not be going for the Bill Plant approach!
